Today, November 25th, is the annual International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. In the 16 days following, we will be supporting what is globally recognized as 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. As an organization, the Urban Alliance on Race Relations has facilitated a Gender-Based Violence Community Accountability Media Project (GVCAMP) for the past three years, which looks to address the issue of gender-based violence with young people from diverse communities across Toronto. Giving respect to the challenging and courageous work that is being done by our allies worldwide, we will be sharing media and writings on this issue, as part of an online activism campaign to raise awareness on gender-based violence. Please keep checking in daily and join in on the conversation. As always, we would love to hear your thoughts and ideas.
